ESA Letters

An Emotional Support Animal, or ESA, is an animal that provides comfort and emotional support to an individual experiencing a qualifying mental health condition. Unlike service animals, ESAs are not specially trained to perform specific tasks.

I provide clinical evaluations for Emotional Support Animal letters when appropriate. The process includes discussing your symptoms, treatment history, current functioning, and the role your animal plays in supporting your emotional well-being. An ESA letter is only issued when there is sufficient clinical justification and the request is consistent with applicable professional and legal standards.

An evaluation does not guarantee that a letter will be provided. ESA letters are not pet registrations, certifications, or guarantees of approval by a landlord, housing provider, airline, or other organization.
